Number 959 - Rainbow

Number 959

"Since You Been Gone"

Let me throw you a few names here, Ronnie James Dio, Ritchie Blackmore and Roger Glover remind you of a group you once new? Hmmm?

I would love to throw a curve ball here and mention
King Crimson in a Purplely Rainbowish way. But alas there is no connection.

In this song "Since You Been Gone" you can hear tints of
Yes & Foreigner here and if you throw in Rainbow's song you can understand how Smashing Pumpkins got their hit song "1979"

All in all, Deep Purple had the last say as it was the true entity of all the late 70s British music, eh Ozzy. Did i mention Whitesnake just to thread this thread? Lord no.

For Deep Purple see Number 686
For Whitesnake see Number 487
For Smashing Pumpkins see
Numbers 864, #811, #680 & #568
