Anyway back in the '70s when music itself got a bit pearshaped, crops of singers were belting out "Pop fueled bubblegum" songs and dominating the charts. I put it down to that the "musicians" of the time (i.e the Led Zeps, The Eagles, REO Speedwagon etc) were to busy touring rather than recording, hence the Britney Spears uprising.
