Part Ska, Part Punk, Part Trippy. The Specials are hard to define musically, as one "expert" tries to describe here........
"True innovators of the punk era, the The Specials began the British ska revival craze, combining the highly danceable ska and rocksteady beat with punk's energy and attitude, and taking on a more focused and informed political and social stance than their predecessors and peers."
Its very Brittish and very enjoyable. They had one other hit called "Gangsters" which was a UK Top 10 smash. (Thinking about it, i wish i included in the "Top 1000" ~ drats)
