Counting down to the Number 1 Song Of All Time! On screen is the latest song added to the Top 1000.
This is a "Work in Progress" so be patient.. please! (Ok.. Moan, what the hell)
This is a sad moment in time, it is like a horror movie "When Good Rock Goes Wrong". Listen people, as i tell you of a time when grown women left an imprint of embarrassment to the rock world, you might not feel well after.(Let alone walk again)
There was this band from Scotland, at first all was normal. They sang nice little pop tunes and subsequently made the charts. After awhile they started to wear "Tartan" jackets, pants & shirts. Obviously proud of where they come from and who could not be proud if your Scottish aye?
But that's where the fairytale ends and the horror starts.......
" At this point, the Rollers became a teen sensation in Great Britain, with their good looks and tartan knickers, and they scored a series of Top Ten U.K. hits over the next two and a half years"
Yes people..... "Tartan Knickers" It was a dreadful dreadful state of affairs.
"They scored their first U.S hit with "Saturday Night," which was released in September 1975 and hit number one in January 1976."
What was worse, the women throughout the world Loved It! (pure bloody horror) After their Tartan Knickers wore off (eww) and BCR disbanded, Rock music began normal transmission. Unfortunately bands like this appear once every 10 years, so by my calculations we are due in 2009 (Oh No ... Yoko)
And if anyone tells you that i owned a copy of this single and use to sing to it with a hairbrush in front of a mirror ....... its a bloody lie!
